Description

In his own day, Jesus was really speaking the truth for our day. What good is it, he asks, if you gain the whole world—everything your heart desires, everything your credit card will cover—if you destroy yourself in the process?

What good, indeed!

Catholic author, teacher, and evangelizer Mary Sharon Moore offers us this compelling question.
Plus more questions, helpful answers, encouraging insights, and hands-on processes, in this
second edition of Living in God’s Economy.

In this dynamic interactive workbook for Christ-centered households, Mary Sharon offers families a way to get to the heart of living simply “for the sake of the Gospel.”

Living in God’s Economy is the practical guide for busy households that are also “domestic church,” who care about the world they touch, who care about others, especially those at the margins, and who care about “our sister, Mother Earth,” as Pope Francis affectionately calls our common home.

Whether you are a family of many, a couple in retirement, active grandparents, or a household of one, Living in God’s Economy will ignite the fire of love for Jesus and his mission of love, compassion, generosity, and simplicity, and give you practical tools to keep the fire going.

This is one of my favorites of Mary Sharon Moore’s books! It is packed with creative ideas for re-evaluating our priorities at home with regard to material things and activities, like clothing, food, vacations, etc..
